HOW IT ALL STARTED
Our Love Story
It all started with a friend’s introduction, as if the universe let out a sigh and whispered, “Finally.” Some love stories take years to unfold, ours sparked instantly.
Depending on who you ask, our meeting might sound like something from a romantic comedy. To us, it felt like the universe quietly correcting itself, aligning two paths that were always meant to meet.

One day, without any prompting, a mutual friend decided to introduce us, just the two of us, as if he knew something we didn’t. There is a twist to that story, but we are saving it for the wedding day, and we cannot wait for you to hear it.

Fast-forward eight years filled with adventures, milestones, and endless laughter, to October 2023 in Bali. What Celeste thought was simply a birthday getaway became the surprise of a lifetime, a romantic beachside dinner under the stars where Yamkela got down on one knee. Of course, she said yes to the man who had felt like her heart’s match since that very first introduction.
From our first date to countless reruns of The Office, quoting Michael Scott at the most random times, our story has been one of shared humour, little quirks, and a love that feels both effortless and unshakable.
Now, as we count down to saying “I do,” our hearts are full of excitement to celebrate this next chapter with family and friends who have been part of our journey all along.

Will this ceremony be unplugged?
During the ceremony, we ask that phones/cameras be put away as we have some oh so talented photographers who will be there to capture the moment.
Before and after the ceremony? Have at it (and then send us all the snaps after!).
Do you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes, we’re committed to ensuring that all our guests have a delightful dining experience. We offer vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free food options. Please indicate your dietary preferences in your RSVP, and we’ll make sure you’re catered to accordingly.
